U.S. offshore rig count goes up to 24 units

The number of offshore rigs in the U.S. increased to 24 units last week, according to a Friday report by Baker Hughes, a GE company.


Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. +9 to 1,080 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is up 9 rigs from last week to 1,080, with oil rigs up 10 to 883 and gas rigs down 1 to 197.

U.S. Rig Count is up 149 rigs from last year’s count of 931, with oil rigs up 136 and gas rigs up 13.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is up 1 rig to 24 and up 5 rigs year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada -43 to 131 rigs

Canada Rig Count is down 43 rigs from last week to 131, with oil rigs down 37 to 58 and gas rigs down 6 to 73.

Canada Rig Count is down 79 rigs from last year’s count of 210, with oil rigs down 62 and gas rigs down 17.
