Vår Energi extends charter for DOF platform supplier

Norwegian offshore vessel owner DOF has received a contract extension from Vår Energi for a platform supply vessel.

DOF said on Friday that Norwegian oil and gas company Vår Energi had declared a one-year option on Skandi Kvitsøy.

The extension is valid until February 2021, the company added.

The original one-year contract was awarded by Point Resources in October 2018, before Point Resources’ merger with Eni Norge in December 2018, which created Vår Energi.

This contract, which started in November 2018, included options for up to two years.

Built in 2012, Skandi Kvitsøy is part of a new range of platform supply vessel (PSV) designs incorporating the new STX bow.
