Evol LNG grabs supply deal with Doray Minerals

Project & Tenders

Evol LNG, the Australian supplier of liquefied natural gas for transport, power generation and industrial applications secured a supply deal with Doray Minerals.

Under the agreement, Evol LNG, a member of Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy & Fertilisers, will provide approximately 4,560 tons of LNG per year for Doray Minerals’ Deflector Gold-Copper project, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.

Liquefied natural gas will be sourced from Evol LNG’s Kwinana plant, with deliveries starting in April 2016. Evol LNG’s plant has a production of 175 tons per day, and includes a 4000 cbm storage tank and a truck loading facility.

The Deflector project, located some 160 km east of Geraldton in Western Australia, is having a dual-fuel power station built. The station will use 30 percent diesel and 70 percent natural gas, according to the company’s statement.

The facility will also have a dedicated on-site LNG storage and vaporization facility.
