India in LNG Talks with Qatar, Oman

India is in talks with Qatar for more supplies of LNG, Minister Jaipal Reddy said yesterday at the 20th World Petroleum Congress in Doha.

„India needs additional energy sources to match its growth,“ he said.

The Minister also held bilateral talks with Oman’s Minister of Oil and Gas on additional supplies of LNG.

India’s LNG import capacity will jump more than three-fold by the middle of the decade, finance director of Petronet LNG recently said.
