Adriatic LNG issues tender for peak shaving cargo
Adriatic LNG, the company that operates the regasification terminal located off the Veneto coastline, in the northern Adriatic Sea, on Friday, issued a tender seeking one LNG cargo.
According to the company’s statement, it is looking for a cargo between 60,000 and 70,000 cubic meters and is scheduled for unloading in the second half of December 2016.
The tender will close on November 14, Adriatic LNG said.
The peak shaving service aims at making additional gas available in the winter peak demand periods.
Adriatic LNG at present delivers more than 39 billion of cubic meters of gas to the national pipeline network, which is more than half of domestic consumption in 2014.
Cargoes delivered to the gravity-based terminal with the 8 billion cubic meters annual capacity are sourced from Qatar, Egypt, Trinidad and Tobago, Equatorial Guinea and Norway.
