Aibel axes more jobs

Aibel has decided to let go 40-50 workers from Kristiansund, Norway and another 70 workers from Bergen, Norway.

According to Offshore.no, the company had a town hall meeting in Kristiansund yesterday and the decision is to start the process right away.

The company stated that this is because of the overall reductions that the industry is currently experiencing.

Aibel previously laid off 230 workers from Hagesund and another 300 employees spread over all Norwegian locations.

Offshore Energy Today reached out to Aibel seeking more info. We are yet to receive the company’s response.
