Al-Nuaman Completes 1st Commercial LNG Delivery to Świnoujście

The Q-flex type liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier Al-Nuaman brought the first shipment of LNG to the newly-built terminal in Świnoujście, Poland, on June 17.

The 2009-built Al-Nuaman, chartered by Qatargas, delivered 210,000 m3 of LNG under the agreement between Polskie LNG and PGNiG signed in March 2010.

The supplier of the gas is Qatargas Operating Company.

With its length of 315 meters and a width of 50 meters, the Q-flex ship is one of the largest vessels which enter the Świnoujście port.

The unloading of LNG took 24 hours.

The first commercial delivery was preceded by a number of tests. In December 2015, and then in February 2016, the abovementioned ship arrived in Świnoujście with LNG deliveries required for test start-up and launch of the installation.
