Argentina’s Enarsa lists LNG cargo suppliers for September-October

The state-owned Energia Argentina (Enarsa) has secured four out of eight cargoes it had previously sought in a tender issued earlier this month.

According to the initial tender, the cargoes were to be delivered between September and October.

Data on the company’s website shows the Hague-based LNG giant Shell has been picked to deliver two cargoes while BP and the commodity trader Vitol have been chosen to deliver a cargo each.

According to Enarsa’s import data, Shell will deliver its two cargoes to the Bahia Blanca LNG terminal on September 7 and September 19, while BP’s cargo to the same terminal is scheduled for delivery on October 10.

The document shows that another commodities company, Trafigura is set to deliver a cargo to the terminal on September 13, rounding up the deliveries for August to the terminal located some 400 miles south of Buenos Aires.

Vitol is scheduled to deliver its cargo on October 16 to the GNL Escobar terminal located on the Parana River, some 30 miles outside Buenos Aires.

Enarsa’s LNG import list for 2017 shows that seven cargoes will be delivered to the GNL Escobar terminal during September with one supplier being Petrobras, while Glencore and Trafigura are picked to deliver three cargoes each.
