Bristol Tidal Energy Forum to help facilitate tidal developments

Bristol Tidal Energy Forum Eight will focus on the challenge of commercializing the tidal energy sector by addressing the issues surrounding the industry.

The Biannual Bristol Tidal Energy Forum is an industry led, technical, discussion and networking forum.

The aim of this year’s forum is to address the challenges the commercialization of both tidal stream and tidal range projects are facing.

Speakers will present on range of topics including: tidal range opportunities, technology commercialization, and innovative new turbines, including smaller scale turbines.

The speakers include, amongst others, Andrew Garrad, board member DNV-GL, Paul Morris, commercial director of Tocardo, and Ian Godfrey, marine programme manager, Regen SW.

Bristol Tidal Energy Forum Eight will take place at TLT Solicitors Offices, 1 Redcliff Street, Bristol on April 16, 2015.

Regen SW, independent non-profit organization concerned with sustainable energy development, has established the Bristol Tidal Energy Forum to help facilitate the delivery of tidal developments in the south west of England. The forum meets twice a year to discuss current issues and challenges, along with potential solutions.
