Chelsea’s Representative to Present in Chile

Chelsea’s representative in Brazil, Mauro Banderali, Ag Solve Mon. Ambiental Ltda, is co-ordinating an international workshop entitled “Oceanographic Bio-Optical Fingerprinting” (28 & 29 October 2013, Puerto Varas – Chile).

The aim of the workshop is to analyse the methods (bio-optical, physical and biological) applied in the search for taxonomic characterization of phytoplankton species, with emphasis on harmful algal blooms.

National and international experts will discuss bio-optical techniques and biophysical processes with emphasis on using fluorescence and photosynthetic parameters of high repetition rates (Frrf) and chlorophyll measurements.

The workshop is free and open to professionals and college students in order to disseminate and discuss novel aspects related to bio-optics, remote sensing, and photosynthesis in algae and water oceanographic applications.
