CIC Boluomiao Shipyard Completes Repair Works for Vessel Xin Pinghai

The ship “Xin Pinghai” collided and arrived at CIC Boluomiao Shipyard on Nov 18th. The ship’s hull in way of the engine room and after peak tank starboard side had about 40 m2 steel plate was damaged and to be renewed. The ship owner requested to be redelivered on Nov 26th, the shipyard immediately started in action by all means to ensure the repair to be completed within 7 days.

After the ships arrival at the shipyard, the shipyard arranged the engineer on board to check the repair project and made a detailed plan. All the departments worked corporately. The shift worked around clock, the ship’s manage and supervisors followed up the progress daily, the QC enhanced on-site management to ensure the repair quality. According to the four days repair period requirement, they made accurate schedules of each hour.

On the evening of Nov 22nd the after peak tank passed the ballast water test and all the sea damaged steel plate renewal was finished. During this rush repair, the ship owner added two auxiliary engine overhaul. But that time the shipyard’s engine repair task was in full, the yard organized two groups of “youth shock brigade” who worked in shifts with the rest.

The two engines were well repaired after the dismounting, transportation, overhauling, assembling, testing, etc. on the early morning of 22nd Nov. The ship was successfully redelivered 3 days before deadline.
