China: Container Vessel Xin Hong Kong Arrives at CIC Changxing Shipyard for Repairs

The Container vessel Xin Hong Kong arrived at CIC Changxing Shipyard on Feb. 3rd, 2012. The owner of the subject vessel is a world famous shipping company, which awarded their repair projects to CIC-Shipyards recently.

She is a 9600TEU container, with LOA 337m and moulded breadth 46m. The main repair scope was routine dry-docking services. The owner raised high requirement on the hull painting and took great care on the interval of each coat of the paint. The yard paid high attention on this issue. With the aim of “The ship owner’s requirement is what we always pursue”, the yard extended the docking period to ensure the paint drying period to meet the requirement under recent rainy days.
