CIC Changxing Shipyard Completes MV Silver Soul Repair, China

CIC Changxing Shipyard fully completed the repairing project of M/V SILVER SOUL on January 10 2013.

SILVER SOUL is a PCTC, belong to the Class ABS, size: 183.9m*30.6m*30.0m. The main job of this repair was the car deck vent head repair, E/R starbside shell plate renewal, forepeak and afterpeak tank steel work, mid-ramp steel work, forecastle mooring windlass base renewal, foreward E/P room flat roof renewal and shell plate welding seam rewelding.

The Production department of Changxing Shipyard arranged the product schedule properly. Workshop arranged 5 teams working on board, SRM, supervisors, business representative, foreman and worker team kept the credibility and integrity management idea firmly in mind.

There were many steel works inside the forepeak & afterpeak tank, and the space inside the tank is very limited. It was very difficult to remove the material inside the tank. Under the lead of the production department, all departments arranged the production schedule and manpower properly, overcame the unfavorable factors such as the impact of rain and snow, paid great attention to safety at work, started work quickly. Under the care of the yard officer, all the managers working together, completed this repair project.
