Clipper Delivers Gottwald Crane to Altamira Steel Terminal in Mexico

On 19 February 2013, IPA Steel Terminal in Altamira, Mexico, received their 100 mt Gottwald crane. The new crane, additional to the terminal’s 150 mt link belt crawler, arrived from Manzanillo and is fully operational.

With this new acquisition, the terminal is well equipped to handle a variety of heavy lift and project cargo, such a turbines and wind mills.

Other recent developments of the terminal’s modern cargo handling facilities include the purchase of ten additional fork lifts ranging from 36,000 to 92,500 lbs during 2012.

Clipper is one of four shareholders in the IPA Steel Terminal. It is the only dedicated steel and break bulk terminal in Altamira.
