Clipper Fleet Management Trains Seafarers (India)

Clipper Fleet Management in India has been ISO 29990 certified as Learning Services Provider by Bureau Veritas. The certificate stands for ‘providing learning services to seafarers to enhance their competence and skills through a combination of safety, environment, quality and behavioral facilitation.’

Training needs are typically identified by Clipper’s SQE department or the vessel’s Master and Senior Officers. Their Training Superintendents board the vessels at least once a year to conduct training for crew. Approximately 250 seafarers are trained every year.

Clipper Fleet Management (CFM) received the ISO 29990 certification as one of the first maritime organizations. CFM is the in-house technical department of Clipper, performing technical management for around 30 vessels, bulk and multi-purpose. CFM operates out of Copenhagen and Mumbai, and employs approximately 45 people.
