CorPower Ocean is looking to expand its team with two newly opened job positions within the company.

Swedish wave energy developer is searching for a Reliability and Certification Engineer, and a Supply Chain and Quality Manager.

The position of Reliability and Certification Engineer includes responsibilities of defining and processing of design load cases (DLCs) from numerical models, tank testing, test rigs and field testing of wave energy converter systems, among others.

CorPower Ocean developed a wave energy device whose design was inspired by the pumping principles of human heart, which is currently under dry rig testing in Stockholm, to be followed by ocean testing at the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC) in Orkney, UK.

Also, the company is looking for a Supply Chain Manager that would negotiate supply contracts to ensure competitive quality, lead time and cost for CorPower Ocean.

Both positions are based in Stockholm, with the same deadline for applications set for February 28, 2017.

Last year, the European Commission granted a €4 million grant to CorPower for its WaveBoost project that aims to improve the reliability and performance of WECs.

Also, CorPower was selected to demonstrate its technology at real sea conditions free of charge under the €11 million EU-backed FORESEA initiative.

More recently, CorPower received around £250,000 to lead the Wave Energy Scotland-funded project focused on innovative materials for wave energy devices.
