Crown Estate Adds New Board Member

The Crown Estate has announced the appointment of Paula Hay-Plumb to its main board, commencing 1st January 2015.

Paula Hay-Plumb is an experienced board director in both the public and private sectors, and is currently a non-executive director at Hyde Housing Association and Aberforth Smaller Companies Trust plc. On 30th November 2014, she will complete her term as a non-executive board member of The National Audit Office. She is currently finance director at Rosling King LLP; previous roles include Chief Executive of national regeneration agency, English Partnerships, and Corporate Finance and Group Reporting Director at Marks and Spencer Plc.

Chairman of The Crown Estate, Sir Stuart Hampson said: “The wealth of experience and expertise that Paula brings makes her ideally placed to help steer The Crown Estate as it continues to actively manage its assets and develop the business model, working on a global stage with international energy developers and property investors.”

Paula Hay-Plumb, Board Member said: “I’m delighted to be joining The Crown Estate Board and look forward to helping shape its investment in some of the UK’s most iconic shopping and business destinations, and also its work in the renewable energy sector to encourage development of a sustainable and secure electricity source for the UK.”

Her career has also included non-executive roles with Skipton Building Society, The Forensic Science Service and as Chair of the National Australia Group Common Investment Fund. She was also a founding trustee of the Coalfields Regeneration Trust.
