DeepOcean working on Tullow’s TEN project, offshore Ghana

Dutch offshore services provider DeepOcean has secured work for the Rem Forza subsea construction vessel in Ghana.

The vessel, owned by Maersk Supply Service, but for years working for DeepOcean, will keep working for Tullow, this time at the company’s TEN development, offshore Ghana, where Rem Forza will provide accommodation support, commissioning support, and construction / survey support. These activities will start end of February, and subject to the exercising of options, could continue until September this year.

To remind, Rem Forza had previously worked on Tullow’s Ghana assets, providing inspection, survey and subsea construction services on the deepwater Jubilee and TEN Fields offshore Ghana.

The Plan of Development, to initially develop gross reserves of 300 million barrels of oil equivalent using an FPSO, and produce up to 80,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day was approved by the Ghanaian government in 2013. The total estimated gross cost of the project is $4.9 billion.
