DFDS Bids on Polferries

Danish ferry operator DFDS has confirmed its interest in buying Poland’s state-owned Polferries, following the Polish State Treasury’s announcement of participants in the sales process.

DFDS says that its interest and participation is driven by the company’s strategy of expanding the route network through value creating acquisitions.

The principal scope of Polferries’ business is the provision of international ferry transport services, as well as organizing group and individual cruises under the brand Polferries.

Polferries provides maritime liner services in the southern Baltic Sea between Poland and Sweden / Denmark with 3 ropax / passenger – vessels.
