DMCA, NTA Discuss Improvement of Marine Inspection Services

The Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA) has held a joint meeting with the National Transport Authority (NTA) to reveal a new initiative aimed at enhancing existing services provided to ship-owners in Dubai.

The meeting, which was held at the DMCA headquarters in the presence of owners of commercial vessels and their representatives, discussed current challenges and the best ways to improve marine inspection services.

The forum shed light on marine inspection strategies that focus on matching the highest standards of maritime and navigational safety and operational efficiency of crafts across the Dubai coastline. Such strategies implement best practices and ensure coordination between industry-related government authorities and entities in Dubai and the UAE.

DMCA and NTA officials emphasized the importance of strengthening their joint cooperation in order to promote investment opportunities in the maritime sector and to provide the best services that meet the aspirations and needs of Dubai’s maritime sector stakeholders.
