DOF lands FPSO mooring gig in North Sea

Subsea services provider DOF Subsea has been awarded a contract for the mooring installation of an FPSO in the UK sector of the North Sea.

In an Oslo Stock Exchange filing on Friday, DOF Subsea said it will deploy the 2011-built Skandi Skansen along with a number of anchor handlers from its fleet to undertake the installation.

The company did not reveal any further details about the contract including the name of the client and the FPSO.

The Skandi Skansen is a high powered anchor handling vessel designed for field installation operations across a wide range of water depths and environmental conditions.

Skandi Skansen is also classified as a CSV as the vessel is well equipped to carry out construction support activities.
