DOF secures pair of fresh deals

Norwegian offshore vessel owner DOF has been awarded charter contracts for a platform supply vessel (PSV) and an anchor handling tug supply vessel (AHTS).

DOF said on Wednesday that the company won a two-year firm contract plus options with Asco Marine for the Skandi Aukra PSV.

The 2012-built PSV is DNV classified, 87.9 meters long, 19 meters wide with accommodation for 26 people and 4,573 tonnes deadweight.

In addition, Eni Norge awarded DOF with a 13-month call-off contract, with a minimum 60 days firm agreement for the AHTS Skandi Iceman.

Skandi Iceman is a deep sea handler designed for versatile field work in harsh environments. The Comfort class vessel is built with a wide 24-meter beam and is 93.6 meters long.

The AHTS has 4,000 tonnes deadweight, 280 tonnes bollard pull and accommodation for 26 people.

DOF added that both contracts started in December 2016.
