EMGS Wins Barents Data Deal

Norway’s Electromagnetic Geoservices (EMGS) has secured a data licensing agreement for the provision of 3D EM data from EMGS’ multi-client data library in the Barents Sea.

According to the company’s statement on Oslo stock exchange, the deal is worth approximately USD 3 million.

EMGS will book the full amount as late sales in the first quarter 2015.

In accordance with the company’s multi-client data library update, EMGS’s in Norway now covers 44,000 square kilometers in the Barents Sea, in addition to approximately 10,000 square kilometers in the Norwegian Sea and 1,400 square kilometers in the North Sea.

The data will be delivered in March 2015 to an undisclosed client.
