ENAP to deliver two cargoes via Mejillones LNG terminal

ENAP will deliver two cargoes of liquefied natural gas to clients this year via the Mejillones import terminal in northern Chile.

Last year we sold one LNG cargo to Mejillones and this year, of the nine cargoes to be received, two are cargoes that we have sold,” Platts cited ENAP’s CEO Marcelo Tokman as saying.

ENAP receives LNG under a long-term supply contract with BG Group at the Quintero terminal in central Chile, in which the company owns a 20 percent stake.

According to Platts, ENAP is not the only partner at Quintero diverting cargoes to Mejillones.

Last month, Endesa Chile sent one LNG cargo north to power its GasAtacama combined-cycle complex.
