EnBW Looking to Set Up Hohe See Marine Coordination Office

EnBW has invited tenders for planning, construction and operation of a marine coordination office which will support the construction phase of the Hohe See offshore wind farm and potentially the Albatros offshore wind farm.

The set-up and operation is to be carried out in accordance with the legal requirements, including the Implementation Guideline Seaview Observation, Offshore Wind Energy Safety Framework 1 and the G9 Offshore Wind Good Practice Guidelines, EnBW said.

The contractor shall provide all marine coordination personnel as well as the associated VTMS software and hardware.

The deadline for submission of tenders is 13 January 2017.

EnBW Hohe See is located 90km from shore in the German Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), in close proximity to the BARD and Global Tech I wind farms.

Siemens is in charge of the supply and installation of 71 foundations and 7MW turbines at the site.

EnBW awarded contracts for the inter-array cabling to VBMS GmbH, and for the offshore substation to a consortium of Cofely Fabricom NV, Iemants NV and CG Holdings Belgium NV.

The Albatros project site is located in the North Sea, in close proximity of the planned EnBW Hohe See wind farm.
