Expro secures work in UK and Norway

Expro, a UK-based oilfield services company, has won new contracts worth $25 million in total. The contracts are in the UK and Norway. Expro also said Monday that it would open a new facility in Norway later in September.

In Norway, Expro has secured a five-year contract with Wintershall on in the Haltenbanken area of the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS). The company will work on Wintershall’s Maria development, approved in the first week of September. The deal includes multi-well operations with two optional two-year extensions.

According to Expro, which last week announced a new round of job cuts, the contract includes the supply of a complete workover riser system including surface test tree and subsea landing string systems. Operations, maintenance and engineering support services will also be provided for the system including global riser analysis and life cycle fatigue monitoring.

As for the UK contract, has won a contract with Premier Oil for its Catcher development in the North Sea, to provide surface well testing and fluid analysis services on 22 subsea wells for three years, with options for three one-year extensions.
