Ezion Group Wins Another LNG Contract in Australia

Ezion Holdings Limited, (“Ezion” or together with its subsidiaries, the “Group”), a leading provider of multi-purpose self-propelled jack-up rigs (Liftboat”) and offshore logistics support services in Asia Pacific, Middle East and West Africa, today reported that it has secured another major LNG project in Queensland, Australia, in addition to its current project in Gorgon, Northwest Australia.

The Group has been awarded an initial project with an approximate contract value of US$55 million to provide full logistics and support services for the haulage of equipment and modules for the development of LNG facilities on Curtis Island, Queensland, Australia.

The LNG project secured by the Group, which is among the first of the eight proposed LNG facilities in Queensland, is expected to have an initial capacity of 7.6 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa).

The Queensland government has estimated that 50 Mtpa of LNG could be produced from the gas extracted from the Surat and Bowen Basins in Queensland and piped to the coast for export.

Mr Chew Thiam Keng, Ezion’s CEO, said: “We are deeply privileged to be able to participate in this important project on Curtis Island. We are confident that we can draw on our experience on Gorgon to make this project a big success. With the proven track record and economy of scale, we will work towards also supporting the other LNG projects in Queensland and other parts of Australia.”

The Group expects the initial project secured to commence in mid 2012.
