Far director departs after 17 years of service

Albert Brindal, a non-executive director of Australian oil and gas company Far Limited, has decided to retire after being on the company’s board of directors for the better part of the decade.

Far said on Monday that Brindal served 17 years with the company including almost ten years on the board.

He was also a member of the Remuneration and Nomination committees and was the chair of the Audit Committee.

Far chairman Nic Limb said: “On behalf of the Board and all current and former staff, I would like to thank Mr. Brindal for his passion and commitment to Far Ltd. over his long career. We wish him all the best in his retirement.”

Brindal was appointed in December 2000 as the company secretary and made director in 2007. He retired as a company secretary in 2013.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, an MBA, and is a Fellow of the Certified Practicing Accountants of Australia.
