Faroe Islands: Minesto Seeks Onshore Engineering, Workshop & Storage Contractor

Swedish marine energy developer Minesto has invited tenders for framework agreement of onshore engineering services in the Faroe Islands to support the operation and maintenance of its Deep Green technology.

As reported earlier, Minesto will be installing tidal energy devices in the waters surrounding the Faroe Isles, initially in Vestmannasund with further installations planned in other locations and will require facilities and services in the Faroe Isles to support these activities.

The scope of supply of this framework is divided into two lots: Lot 1 – Onshore Engineering Services; Lot 2 – Workshop and Storage Area.

The services required under Lot 1 framework agreement includes but are not limited to; Engineering Support, Manpower, Cranes, Material Handling, Transport and Tools.

Under Lot 2, Minesto is looking for a workshop to facilitate the maintenance and repair of its assets and a outdoor storage and indoor storage area.

Suppliers are can tender for either one or both lots, depending on supply capabilities.

The framework deal should preferably have prices valid for 2 years, with possibility to extend it two more years.

Minesto expects interested parties to apply by February 26, 2020.
