Fircroft launches offshore services branch in U.S.

Engineering group Fircroft has launched Fircroft Oilfield Services, a subsidiary targeting the offshore oil and gas sector in the U.S. 

In an announcement on Tuesday, Fircroft said that Fircroft Oilfield Services – located in Houma, Louisiana – would provide a range of marine services including rigging crews, transport, lifting, loading, and cargo handling services for offshore E&P projects, throughout the Gulf of Mexico and North America.

Judd Bamford has been appointed as Managing Director of Fircroft Group’s Oilfield Services business, while Jonathan Longnecker has been appointed as Business Development Director for Fircroft Oilfield Services.

Bamford said: “I am delighted to have been appointed to lead Fircroft Group’s venture into the oilfield services sector. With nearly 50 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, the Fircroft Group possesses an immense amount of knowledge, connections and capability to become the oilfield services provider of choice across the Gulf of Mexico.”

Andrew MacKinnon, Director of Fircroft Group’s Americas operations commented: “Fircroft Group already has a substantial presence across the Americas region, delivering an industry-leading range of recruitment and workforce solutions.
