Forge Group Scores APLNG Work

Forge Group Limited announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Cimeco Pty Ltd has entered an agreement with Chicago Bridge and Iron (CB&I ), one of the world’s leading engineering, procurement and construction companies, to provide civil and concrete services for the early stages of the Australia Pacific LNG Project in Gladstone, Queensland.

This $90 million contract is Forge’s first foray into the Queensland market and includes procurement and construction of the civil and concrete works required for the installation of 2 x 160,000 cubic metres LNG tanks.

Work is expected to commence in the first quarter of calendar year 2012 and is scheduled to be completed by the end of calendar year 2013.

The contract is our first with CB&I, one of the world’s largest engineering companies and reflects Forge’s growing client list of blue chip customers.

This is a strategically significant contract for Forge. It is our first foray into the Queensland market and is another step in our plan to build a true national presence. It also ratifies Cimeco’s diversification strategy to provide a full range of construction services.”
