Four offshore EPCI projects strengthen Lamprell’s foothold in Saudi Arabia

Offshore fabrication contractor Lamprell has expanded its operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with four offshore engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contracts secured earlier this year.

Lamprell’s combined scope across the four projects includes the installation of new platforms, subsea structures, pipelines and cables, as well as platform and infrastructure upgrades, trenching and full hook-up and commissioning activities.

“These four new EPCI awards mark an important step in Lamprell’s growth journey in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They also reflect the progress we have made in expanding our in-house marine contracting capabilities, strengthening our regional footprint, and positioning Lamprell to deliver increasingly complex offshore scopes,” said Ian Prescott, Chief Executive Officer of Lamprell.

To remind, in April it was reported that Lamprell had gotten a hold of an extension of its multi-year deal with Aramco, Saudi Arabia’s energy heavyweight. The extension of the long-term agreement (LTA) is said to strengthen their strategic relationship, which has been present since 2018.
