FTAI Offshore nets subsea vessel work off Malaysia

Offshore marine services provider FTAI Offshore, a subsidiary of Fortress Transportation and Infrastructure Investors (FTAI), has secured a short-term charter for one of its vessel for operations offshore Malaysia. 

According to the vessel operator, the Canadian-built DP-3 offshore construction vessel, the Pride, will be used to support offshore operations in the South China Sea.

The company said the vessel will be used to support the installation of subsea infrastructure and to provide marine and subsea construction operations.

Jon Attenburrow, MD of FTAI Offshore, said, “We are pleased to have won this contract in challenging times for the offshore industry. Securing this charter reflects on the quality of our vessels and the professionalism of our personnel and crews.”

The Pride was built in 2014 and it is 130 meters long and 28 meters wide.

FTAI Offshore is headquartered in New York but its base of operations and facilities are located in Singapore, with regional offices in Kuala Lumpur.
