GC Rieber Shipping finds work for ‘Polar Onyx’

Norwegian offshore shipowner GC Rieber Shipping has secured work for its Polar Onyx vessel.

The vessel will work for the marine solutions and specialist engineering service provider James Fisher Marine Services in UK.

The charter starts immediately and with options may last in excess of one month. According to GC Rieber Shipping, the charter comes in almost direct continuation from the Nigerian campaign the vessel performed in Q1 and parts of Q2.

“We’re pleased to see continued utilization for Polar Onyx in today’s market and look forward to working with James Fisher for this opportunity,” said CEO Irene Basili.

The offshore construction vessel ‘Polar Onyx’ was delivered in March 2014 from Ulstein Verft to GC Rieber Shipping.
