GEOSHIPS Exhibits at Prestigious Renewables Event for First Time (UK)

SeaHold GEOSHIPS Limited (GEOSHIPS), specialists in marine and subsea services, is reinforcing its focus on the renewables sector by exhibiting at RenewableUK in Manchester this week (October 25-27).

Aberdeen-based GEOSHIPS was formed in 2003 and has a strong focus on offshore renewable energy projects, whilst also being able to offer services in support of subsea oil and gas related projects.

Earlier this year it chartered its first multi-purpose offshore vessel, the Stril Explorer, from Mokster A/S until 31st August 2012, to support the growing offshore renewable energy market and the subsea sector.

Kenny MacLeod, chairman of GEOSHIPS, said: “This is the first time the company has exhibited at RenewableUK energy exhibition, and we look forward to it providing the perfect opportunity for us to meet with existing clients and create new contacts in the industry. We will be promoting our vessel provision and management capability whilst at the exhibition.

“We are very focussed on the year ahead and plan to take delivery of a further three multi purpose offshore vessels next year. These vessels again allow us to service the emerging offshore renewable energy market and meet the requirements of the offshore oil and gas industry.”

In June this year GEOSHIPS acquired the marine management services company Brooklyn Shipping Ltd (BSL). BSL has substantial experience of the management of dynamically positioned subsea operations support vessels and the deal means the company manages the Stril Explorer and the further planned vessels

NCS Survey was awarded exclusive service agreements for the provision of survey services for GEOSHIPS Stril vessel.

GEOSHIPS is co-exhibiting with NCS-Survey at RenewableUK on Stand 215.
