Global Marine Systems Establishes Joint Rental Pool of Predator ROVs With Seatronics (UK)

Global Marine Systems has announced that it is establishing a joint rental pool for its Predator Inspection class ROV system with international distributor, Seatronics Ltd.

Global Marine Systems and Seatronics will invest equal contributions of equipment which will be managed by Seatronics and placed at its facilities in key locations around the world. Two systems will be placed in Aberdeen with future systems planned for Houston to service the Gulf of Mexico and Abu Dhabi to service the Middle East.

The first system will be supplied to Seatronics in April with additional systems to follow throughout the year.

Our continued investment in the latest technology and hardware has resulted in us having one of the lowest average age equipment pools,” said David Currie, managing director at Seatronics.

Our joint venture with Global Marine Systems will allow us to provide our customers with a one-stop solution for renting an ROV system which can be tailored with a wide-range of the latest high tech underwater electronics equipment.

Our customers can feel confident when renting Predator as they are receiving the latest in design and technology,” explained Ray Ward, business development manager, subsea services, Global Marine Systems.

Not only is Predator supported by a company with more than 160 years of offshore operational experience, but it is backed by a world leading subsea equipment rental company with bases strategically located around the world.”

Seatronics is a global supplier of electronic subsea rental equipment for the hydrographic, environmental, geophysical, metocean, ROV and diving industries and will launch the venture in Aberdeen in early May by hosting Predator ROV demonstrations in Aberdeen harbour.
