Globus Maritime Delays Loan Payments

Greek dry bulk shipping company Globus Maritime Limited has reached agreements with two of its lenders to postpone its instalment loan payments due in 2016.

Furthermore, the company has agreed on certain amendments and waivers to the terms of the original deals dated on June 20, 2011 and February 27, 2015, respectively, with DVB Bank and HSH Nordbank AG.

Under the new deals with the banks, the company was granted relaxations for the period of March 2016 through March 2017, Globus Maritime’s President, CEO and CFO, Athanasios “Thanos” Feidakis, said.

Globus Maritime added that final documents have not yet been executed with HSH Nordbank AG.

The dry bulk shipping firm owns, through its subsidiary Globus Shipmanagement Corp., a fleet of five vessels with a total carrying capacity of 300,571 dwt and a weighted average age of 8.1 years as of March 31, 2016.
