Grandweld Lays Keel for ADNOC’s 42m Crew Boat

Grandweld, a fully integrated shipyard providing shipbuilding, ship repair, and engineering solutions, has laid keel for ADNOC’s (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company) 42m Aluminum Crew Boat.

Contract for the vessel was signed on December 31st 2013, and the keel laying ceremony was held on April 17th 2014.

The vessel will be powered by three high speed diesel engines driving three fixed pitch propellers and capable of developing a speed in excess of 21 knots. The boat shall be a Fast Crew Boat with diving support capability to provide various services required in the offshore operations.

The vessel has 30 persons crew seating capacity, more than 100 sqm loading area for over 90 Tons of deck cargo requirements, and specially designed wheelhouse and crew cabins to achieve highest quality standards and maximum space utilization and comfort.

Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for December 31, 2014.

The vessels will be operated by ADNOC, and will be utilized to transport personnel and support offshore oil & gas operations.
