In January last year, Greek TSO ADMIE awarded the cabling contract to Hellenic Cables and its subsidiary Fulgor for the supply and installation of the submarine and underground cable system.

The submarine cable was manufactured at Hellenic Cables’ plant in Corinth.

Asso.subsea laid the 30 kilometers of subsea cable in water depths of 200 meters and installed the cable protection supplied by First Subsea in predefined locations utilizing its cable lay vessel Atalanti.

The cable laying operations wrapped up on Christmas Eve 2020.

The Skiathos-Mantoudi interconnection is expected to be completed in April next year.
