GSP Names New Chief Financial Officer

GSP Offshore announces the appointment of Mr. Geir Johansen as new Chief Financial Officer. The nomination of Geir Johansen as GSP’s new CFO becomes effective with August 1, 2013.

Mr. Johansen has extensive international managerial experience including mergers and acquisitions, equity and capital market activities, operations management, corporate support, quality assurance, human resources and information and communications technology.

Mr. Johansen has extensive international executive experience from Asia, Europe and North- and South America. He has more than 20 years of experience within the maritime and oil and gas industries worldwide, with a proven track record from equity and capital markets and from implementing large savings through process redesign and implementation of stringent controls.

Prior to joining GSP, Mr. Johansen occupied the CFO position within S.D. Standard Drilling a publicly listed company, DOF Subsea, including DOF Subsea ASA (also publicly listed) and DOF Subsea Asia Pacific. Prior to that, he worked with Det Norske Veritas (DNV) Maritime, last serving as Director of Finance; with CC Technologies (acquired by the DNV Group), held the Administrative Manager position for DNV Region Japan, and the position of Assistant Corporate Treasurer within DNV Headquarters in Norway. Mr. Johansen began his career at Saga Forest Carriers.

Mr. Johansen holds a Master’s Degree in International Economics from the Norwegian School of Management. He has also graduated from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland) the Senior Management Development Program.
