GTT books new tank design order for LNGC duo from Hyundai Heavy
French LNG containment specialist GTT has received an order from its South Korean partner HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) for the tank design of two new LNG carriers.
South Korean shipyard placed an order on behalf of a European shipowner. The order will see GTT design the tanks of the two vessels, each with a total cargo capacity of 200,000 cubic metres.

The LNG carriers are scheduled for delivery between the second and fourth quarters of 2027.
A similar order was placed by HD HHI at GTT in February this year. HHI placed the order on behalf of an undisclosed European shipowner for three LNG carriers which will also offer a total cargo capacity of 200,000 cubic metres each.
The delivery of these vessels is scheduled between the second and fourth quarters of 2026.
