GTT tech ordered for Mitsui’s LNG newbuild

GTT, French designer of membrane containment systems for the maritime transportation and storage of LNG received a new order for one liquefied natural gas carrier.

This new ship will be built by the Japanese shipbuilder Imabari Shipbuilding, the company said in a statement.

The LNGC, for Mitsui & Co., will be built with the Mark III Flex technology and it is expected to be delivered in 2020.

Mitsui & Co. has signed 25-year charter deals for eight LNG carriers to transport liquefied natural gas from Cameron project in the United States.
