Gulf Marine lands double deal in MENA region

Gulf Marine Services, a provider of advanced self-propelled self-elevating support vessels serving the offshore oil, gas sector, has received two new contract awards for one of its large class vessels.

The vessel will be supporting an engineering, procurement, and construction contractor in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region under two separate charters totaling seven months, including options.

The first contract is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2017.

Duncan Anderson, Chief Executive Officer of GMS, said: “We are very pleased to have been awarded these two new contracts by our EPC client in MENA, which are testament to both the flexibility of our vessels and our long-standing record of providing the right cost-effective offshore support solutions for our clients.”

The company recently got another contract in the MENA region for one of its mid-size class vessels, also set to start in the first quarter of 2017.
