Havila to take platform supplier out of layup for Axxis gig

Norwegian vessel owner Havila Shipping has entered into a charter contract with Axxis Geo Solution for one of its platform supply vessels.

Havila Shipping said on Wednesday that the contract was for a firm period of six months for the Havila Fortune.

The company added that contract for the Havila Fortune had additional extension options following the expiration of the charter.

According to Havila Shipping, the contract is scheduled to begin in June 2018. Also, the Havila Fortune will be taken out of layup to serve the contract.

In recent company news, Havila Shipping found work for two platform suppliers with Total E&P UK for the Havila Aurora and Havila Borg PSVs.

Also, a Havila Shipping-owned platform supply vessel (PSV) was awarded a two-month contract extension for the PSV Havila Clipper with Mærsk Olie og Gas – a company of Total. Both deals were awarded to Havila last month.

As for the vessel, the last contract for the Havila Fortune was awarded by Maersk Oil for 60 days firm plus d/d 30 back in late June 2017.
