TechnipFMC and DOF Subsea joint venture has taken delivery of a newbuild pipelay support vessel (PLSV) the Skandi Búzios.

The PLSV started its 8-year charter contract with Petrobras on April 13, 2017. Skandi Búzios is the sistership of the Skandi Açu, which started its charter contract on August 13, 2016.

 


Norwegian vessel owner Solstad Offshore said it has signed a frame agreement with Saipem (Portugal) Comercio Maritime for the subsea construction support vessel “Normand Cutter”.

According to the Oslo-listed company the new deal is valid for 4 years. Through this agreement, Saipem can utilize the “Normand Cutter” to support their subsea construction activities worldwide at pre-agreed commercial terms, Solstad noted.


Offshore services player Helix Energy Solutions has kicked off its well intervention services campaign offshore Brazil under a multi-year contract with Petrobras.

The company said on Wednesday it has agreed with Petrobras to begin operations at reduced day rates for Siem Helix 1 as they work through certain items identified in the vessel acceptance process.

 


Oslo-listed marine contractor Siem Offshore has landed several global charter contracts including for its offshore subsea construction fleet.

The 93.6 meters long OSCV Siem Marlin, has started its contract in South America scheduled for 150 days. The 121 meters long OSCV Siem Spearfish has also begun its charter in the the Black Sea. According to the company, the contract is secured for 100 days.


Trendsetter Engineering and Add Energy have combined expertise to provide engineering and hardware support services to the industry’s most challenging problems in a nimble and responsive environment.

The companies have recently been awarded a contract to supply engineering expertise and access to Trendsetter’s patented Relief Well Injection Spool (RWIS) in support of an operators’ drilling campaign on a newly sanctioned field development.
