Oceaneering’s UK subsidiary has, on August 7, completed the acquisition of a minority equity interest in Viper Subsea Technology.

“There will be no change in the day to day management team or management structure of Viper Subsea. We have a successful and highly experienced team in place who will continue to drive the development of Viper Subsea forward,” said Neil Douglas, Managing Director of Viper Subsea.


Ceona Chairman Steps Down

SURF contractor Ceona informed that John Smith, Chairman of the company’s board, has stepped down with immediate effect due to ill health.

Smith has been involved in the oil & gas sector for more than 30 years and has been pivotal in overseeing the growth of Ceona since its inception in 2012.

 


Harkand Revamps DSV Swordfish

Harkand has successfully completed the $10.5-million upgrade of its Gulf of Mexico based dive support vessel (DSV) Swordfish.

The fully International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) compliant, ABS classed, 104 m long, DP2 DSV features a newly upgraded 15-man saturation diving system with a three-man bell along with a new 165’ surface diving system.

 


Johan_Sverdrup_Template_in_Place

The first piece of the Johan Sverdrup development has now been completed and installed on the field in the North Sea.

The Heerema Marine Contractors’ crane vessel “Thialf” completed the installation of the 280-tonne pre-drilling template on the Johan Sverdrup field.

 

 


McDermott Back in Black as Revenue Grows

Offshore EPCI player, McDermott, has reported second quarter 2015 net income of $11.5 million, or $0.04 per fully diluted share compared to a net loss of $7.4 million, or $0.03 per diluted share, in the prior-year quarter.

The Company reported second quarter 2015 revenues of $1.05 billion, an increase of $570.5 million, compared to revenues of $476.1 million for the prior-year second quarter.
