Korea, Greece to Boost Maritime Cooperation

ATHENS, Greece _ President Roh Moo-hyun is to hold a summit with Greek President Karolos Papoulias on Monday to discuss ways to improve bilateral relations and economic cooperation between the two nations.
Roh arrived in the Greek capital Sunday night (Korea standard time) for a three-day state visit, the first of its kind by a South Korean head of state since the two countries established diplomatic ties in 1961.

Upon arrival, he paid a visit to a memorial commemorating the souls of those who fought in the 1950-53 Korean War and gave words of encouragement to a group of Greek war veterans. Greece is one of the 16 countries that dispatched soldiers to help South Korea.
