SIX shipping firms form consortium to break A .P. Moller

FOLLOWING the failure of A.P. Moller to decongest ports and bring about a seamless port operation, a group of six shipping companies have formed a consortium with a view to breaking the monopoly of A .P. Moller at the container terminal port .

The group, which is made up of Alraine Nigeria Limited, Wasa, Hullblyte Elder Demster Agency, Blue Funnel, Transcap Nigeria Limited and African Steam Ship, have all come together under one company to be known as the “Tin-Can Island Port Terminal Limited” (TICT).
