IMarEST Founders’ Lecture: Can Shipping Meet the Challenge of Change?

We live in a time of constant change and change is very much the topic of the 2nd Annual IMarEST Founders’ Lecture, in association with ClassNK, being given by Dr Martin Stopford, President, Clarkson Research, on Tuesday 20 November 2012.

“Dr Stopford is taking the question ‘Can shipping meet the challenge of change?’ as his topic,” explains IMarEST Chief Executive, David Loosley. “After all, it is 50 years since we have had a major change in the way goods are shipped, and during this period the world has moved on.

“He will focus on three issues: energy, environment and e-technology, and discuss how economics and technology must both play a part in producing the next great leap forward in sea transport. We can certainly expect much discussion following what I know will be a stimulating lecture.”

The lecture is taking place at the America Square Conference Centre in London, at the end of the first day of IMarEST’s 3rd Ship Propulsion Systems Conference (SPS).
