IOC issues LNG cargo tender

Indian Oil Corporation has reportedly launched a tender for the supply of liquefied natural gas cargoes.

Sources told Reuters that IOC is requesting two LNG cargoes for the delivery in October and  two cargoes for November delivery.

The company revealed in July this year that intends to buy at least one cargo per month on the spot market through 2015 and 2016 due to lower short-term prices.

IOC has recently awarded the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning contract to Black & Veatch for its LNG receiving terminal at Ennore, that will enable the company to supply liquefied natural gas to high demand southern states, particularly Tamil Nadu and some parts of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
